Oz

I painted this one in the beginning of the year but didn't take a decent photo of it until today... the whole image was just a pretext to paint the striped shirt :)

This week I'll be off to Fontbonne University in St Louis to do some workshops! I also have to do a 2 hr. talk... for the ones who know me, they know that 2 hours of me talking is cake... they'll have to eventually shut me up. BUT 2 hours of something worth listening to... well that's a whole other issue. I'll post some pics once I get back!

Nicolás, me parece buenísima la experimentación con el color de estas últimas pinturas.

Nicolas--

Thanks so much for coming to visit us at Fontbonne! I know I speak for everyone that we really enjoyed your visit and you gave us all a lot to think about. I'll keep you posted once I get some of those roller derby paintings going that I mentioned at the end of critique day. :D

Cheers,

do believe that pretext was a successful one! Stripes are fun, but can quickly fall, or fail...with the lighting and movement this one trembles lovely...

Agreed - this is a beautiful piece! I also love the various changes in proportion of parts of the image, as well as the effect that it takes place at multiple moments in time.
